THE SIX-WEEK "BASIC OBEDIENCE GOALS" COURSE usually consists of teaching your dog to sit, sit and stay, (lie) down, down and stay, heel, and come (when called), as well as proper on-leash behavior (no jumping or pulling). The class meets once a week for about an hour, but the work of the course will continue throughout the week. Please be aware that this is not a “tricks and treats” class, but a practical dog training course. In this course your dog will learn to respond to your verbal commands and hand signals. In my classes, students are expected to exhibit a level of dedication and commitment beyond that of the ordinary dog obedience course. However, when we finish, and you and your dog have succeeded and excelled, you will be proud to have a dog that you can take anywhere.
